Come join Yakima Sons of Norway for the 17th of May (Syttende Mai) Norwegian Constitution Day celebration in Seattle. Yakima's Odin Lodge is sponsoring a bus trip to Ballard to experience one of the largest celebrations outside of Norway.
Put on your bunad and march in the grand parade through this historic Scandinavian district or enjoy the spectacle from along the route. Visit Ballard's Leif Erickson lodge for an open house with food, music, and cultural activities. Enjoy live Nordic music and dancing at Bergen Place Park, enjoy a brew at the Skål Beer Hall, go to the world-renowned National Nordic Museum, and check out charming local restaurants and shops with Nordic food and specialties. Round trip fare is $50.00/person and includes good fellowship, goody bags, singing, games and prizes.
The bus leaves for Ballard at 10:00 a.m. May 17th from the Bellair Charters main office in Yakima and returns to Yakima around 11:30 p.m.
